Route Description

Hidden Falls is a heavily trafficked waterfall trail that is located in an undeveloped valley near Kaneohe. Beautiful valley views abound while working your way up a steady incline through lush tropical rainforest. Enroute you’ll encounter a swimming hole with great opportunities for jumping, bamboo forest, and in certain season’s it’s likely to encounter wild ginger. The trail ends at the back of the valley under a spectacular 125ft tall waterfall. If time permits, a short detour can take us to a second waterfall. This trail is typically well maintained and unless there has been recent rainfall its only muddy in isolated areas. Novice hikers old and young can complete this trail, but we consider this novice/intermediate due to the length and the steady incline. This hike can get hot in the afternoon. Bring a hat and plenty of water. Let us assure you, the payoff at the end is worth the effort.

Trail conditions are frequently slick and muddy. Flip Flops are okay for most, but for those at risk of falling we recommend hiking boots and poles.
